No, we encourage individuals with a growth mindset in any location within the US to apply to be a member. Although Beyond Degrees is headquartered in St. Louis Missouri, individuals from across the country can participate.

Beyond Degrees is focused on developing leadership skills, rather than specific career skills. Athough having career goals is helpful in personalizing the member‘s mentorship experience, it is not required. The primary qualifying element is whether the candidate has the ability to be self reflective and has a passion for bettering themselves. 

No, we encourage anyone who is passionate about developing tomorrow‘s leaders to apply. For the safety of our members we require mentoring sessions to occur in a public space. Mentors located in a different geographic location than their member will be required to have access to a computer to provide mentorship in a recorded virtual session. 

Mentors will meet with their assigned member 1 time every month for about 60 to 90 minutes. However the mentor should plan on taking time to prepare for their sessions in order to maximize the value of the session. This preparation time  required will depend on the individual. 

Members usually will engage in leadership formation with a mentor, seminar, or workshop 1 time per month for about 60 to 90 min. The member should however expect to spend time in their daily life  working to build habits and apply learnings.
